John
Despite being an avid "exercise guy" in February 2018 I suffered a stroke which paralyzed the left side of my body and affected my speech. I was hospitalized and underwent inpatient rehab for a month. I was still very weak and had frequent balance loss. I was referred to outpatient PT where I worked on a progressive strengthening and balance program using the COR XT. The COR challenges me in ways I've never experienced before. It works all of my muscles in many different positions and provides resistance functionally in lifting, pushing and pulling with opportunity to do all of it on an unstable surface. I have returned to my full exercise program and now use the COR-XT as an integral component of my workout. I can walk normally, (recently all over Greece with my entire very active family!) balance on the COR on 1 leg and throw a ball at a rebounder for 25 reps, no small feat for a guy in his 80s! I have used conventional exercise equipment over the years but none that challenge me so completely as the COR-XT. It exceeded expectations of myself and my medical team in returning me to being that avid Exercise Guy!
